Hairknowlogy Salon & Earthmuffin Spa are environmentally based businesses located in downtown Aiken. Our Staff maintains a high level of knowledge and expertise in our industry and acknowledges that chemical free environments are to the benefit of both Guests and Stylists. We offer Team Support and In-Salon Training to expedite your introduction. Our standards are high and we recognize talent and potential when we see it. We commit to nurturing your natural abilities. We require a minimum 32 hour work week to be eligible for paid vacation after two years of continuous employment. If you are looking to move from a budget, walk-in salon environment to a customized, appointment only environment, this is your opportunity.

An 8-week introductory period is required for all new hires @ an hourly wage with a transition to commission thereafter.

Responsibilities:

  • Welcome clients and foster immediate comfort
  • Consult with clients and recommend appropriate cuts/treatments to enhance their looks and confidence
  • Cut/Trim/Shave hair using professional techniques and equipment
  • Apply a wide range of coloring techniques
  • Create hairstyles for formal events
  • Create bonds with loyal customers and encourage repeat visits
  • Manage on-line bookings
  • Ensure the tidiness and cleanliness of work stations
  • Knowledge of all State mandated protocols relevant to our industry
  • Encourage retail sales

Skills: 

  • Established work experience – (2) years preferred
  • Knowledge of various hair coloring techniques
  • Knowledge of wide variety of hair styles appropriate to all hair lengths
  • Up-to-date knowledge of industry and fashion trends
  • Enhanced communication skills
